Introducing: The Pattern Paper
Community over competition. Every day of the gosh darn week. I am constantly blown-away at the endless support of the creative community. As a designer and illustrator I am surrounded by a network of creative cheerleaders.
Earlier this year I participated in the community art project The Summer Pattern Challenge. Participating in challenges like this has been one of the very best tools in my creative practice toolkit. It’s a great big leap outside of the comfort zone. Facing subject matter that you wouldn’t normally tackle. Experimenting with mediums you haven’t touched nearly enough. Connecting with new creative faces, spaces and opportunities.
One opportunity has been the invitation to be included in the inaugural edition of The Pattern Paper. The cute-as-pie mini paper that features 50+ of the best entries to The Summer Pattern Challenge from over 50 talented artists. Each page is filled to the edge with happiness, bright summer colour-palettes and inspiration. Every purchase helps to promote the work of the artists featured. AND - most importantly, all funds raised go to support the work of Arthouse Unlimited. An amazing charity that supports the work of artists living with complex numero-diverse and physical support needs. Artists supporting artists!
To get your grabby hands on your very own copy of The Pattern Paper jump on over to The Pattern Paper Summer 2021 to pre-order your copy before orders close on 4 November 2021.
Psst. If you are a keen creative you’ll be happy to hear that the paper has a sneak peek of next year’s challenge prompts *wink*
